Phil Raymond is Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Alabama Power Company. Prior to joining Alabama Power in August 2010, Mr. Raymond was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Gulf Power Company.
Mr. Raymond has more than 38 years of experience in the utility industry. He joined the Southern Company in 1991 at Georgia Power and has held positions of responsibility at Southern Company Services, Mississippi Power, Alabama Power, Gulf Power, and Southern Company. Prior to joining the Southern Company, he worked for 8 years for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in the Office of the Chief Accountant.
Mr. Raymond is a 1982 accounting graduate from the University of Maine at Machias. Phil successfully completed the Emory Goizueta Executive Education program at Emory University in Atlanta in 2002. He is a certified public accountant from the state of Texas and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Phil and his wife, Linda, have two daughters, Lacey Townes (Gil) and Kara Snider (Miles), a son, Michael (Elizabeth), and two grandsons, Tim and Daniel Townes.
