Anthony McCorvey is currently the Area Manager East for the Coast Division of Mississippi Power. In this role, he provides leadership for engineering, operations, customer service, community involvement and local governmental relations for Jackson, Stone, George, and Green counties.
Before joining Mississippi Power in 2020, Anthony worked for Georgia Power where he held a variety of roles including Sales Manager, Sales Supervisor, and Project Manager for Key Accounts. He also worked at Gulf Power as the Lead Reliability Engineer.
Anthony got his career start at Mississippi Power has a co-op student in Gulfport, MS and ultimately progressed to different engineering roles that included Division Engineer and Project Engineer.
Anthony earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Business from William Carey University. He has his Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma and is a Discipline Agile Scrum Master.
In the community, Anthony serves on several boards including the Jackson County Chamber, Jackson & George County United Way, BacotMcCarty Foundation, Pascagoula River Audubon Center, Keep Ocean Springs Beautiful, YMCA, and the Pascagoula Main Street. He is an active member of the American Association of Blacks in Energy and National Society of Black Engineers.
Originally from Pensacola, FL, Anthony is married to Kawanna McCorvey who is from Pass Christian, and they have son named Carter.
