Mike has dedicated over 19 years to Mississippi Power, building a comprehensive career in Substations. After graduating with his bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Mississippi State University in 2007, he began his career with Mississippi Power as a Field Test Engineer in System Protection and Control, where he was responsible for the testing and commissioning of protective relaying equipment. Since then, he has served in many roles within Substations such as Substation Construction, supporting the scoping, design, and scheduling of capital substation construction projects. He has also held various roles in Substation Maintenance and Support, where he was responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and testing of substation equipment and facilities.
Currently, Mike holds the title of Transmission Maintenance and Support Manager, leading the teams responsible for the construction and maintenance of MPC’s substations.
He is passionate about the challenges of Transmission and thrives on the challenges of ensuring operational efficiency and reliability. He values the collaborative spirit of working alongside different departments, customers, and coworkers to achieve common goals and deliver exceptional service.
