a. Josh Clevenger, PhD, joined HudsonAlpha as a faculty investigator in 2020. His research focuses on using genomics for crop improvement, especially crops in the southeast and Alabama. Clevenger previously worked for Mars-Wrigley on the nut science team, designing and executing nut genetic improvement projects on all 5 continents where peanuts grow and as a USDA-NIFA postdoctoral fellow on further developing peanut genomic tools. Josh Clevenger graduated from The University of Georgia’s Institute of Plant Breeding, Genetics, & Genomics in 2016. He played a large role in the industry-led peanut genome initiative, developing genomic tools and markers for molecular breeding.
