Where will classes for 7 be held?

All classes will be held at the Mississippi Coast Convention Center at 2350 Beach Blvd Biloxi, MS 39531.

Where can I park?

Enter through Gate 1 via Highway 90/Beach Boulevard. You may park in Lot 3. Enter through the main entrance. When you enter the convention center, take a right and proceed east to Hall D.

What is the attire for 7?

Attire for the week is casual.

Who can attend 7?

7 is an open enrollment opportunity for any employee working at Mississippi Power Company.

Are guests or spouses able to attend 7?

No.

Do I have to register to participate?

Yes. Online registration will remain open until July 8.

Is there same day on-site registration?

No.

If I didn’t get to register for the class I wanted, is there a waiting list?

You can return to the registration website to see if spaces become available.

I registered, but now I am not able to attend. Can someone else attend in my place?

If you are no longer able to attend, please cancel your registration through the registration website. Your cancellation will allow someone else to attend.

Will meals be provided during the day?

Yes. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided each day. Please register through the registration website for breakfast and lunch, to ensure we can have a proper headcount.

How do I get a copy of my schedule?

You can print or save your schedule from the confirmation page of your registration.

What if I do not live on the coast?

Discuss with your supervisor what classes you would like to attend. Any expenses associated with your participation in 7 is a business unit expense, including overnight accommodations. If overnight accommodations are necessary, you are responsible for your own hotel reservations. Refer to the Southern Company Online Travel Tool (SCOTT) for the list of preferred hotels.

If I am unable to attend 7, will classes or materials be available virtually?

At this time, there are no plans to offer 7 virtually this year. Be sure to check out the e-learning courses available on the Career Development website in mySOurce.
