Drew EvansSouthern CompanyExecutive Vice President & Chief Financial OfficerAndrew W. (Drew) Evans was named executive vice president and chief financial officer of Southern Company, one of America’s largest public utilities, in June 2018. In this role, Evans is responsible for the company’s accounting, finance, business development, investor relations, treasury and information technology. He also serves as the chief risk officer and is a member of the Southern Company Management Council. Prior to joining Southern Company Services, Evans served as president and chief executive officer of Southern Company Gas, the largest distributor of natural gas in America. He also served as chairman of the Southern Company Gas Board of Directors. Evans joined Southern Company Gas, formerly AGL Resources, in May 2002, and held several positions of leadership, including chief operating officer, chief financial officer and treasurer. Evans came to Southern Company Gas from Mirant Corporation, formerly Southern Energy Inc., where he served in various finance and business development roles over a nine-year period. Prior to Mirant, Evans was employed by National Economic Research Associates and the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. He uses his time in service to the community. Evans serves as chairman of the Grady Health Foundation. Additionally, he is a member of the Emory Board of Trustees and the boards of Zoo Atlanta and United Way of Greater Atlanta – HomeFirst Atlanta Community Oversight Board. Evans also serves on the energy advisory council of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He previously served as audit chairman of Grady Memorial Hospital Corporation and on the boards of Georgia Council on Economic Education and New American Pathways. Evans is a graduate of Emory University and the Booth/Kellogg program, CEO Perspectives. He lives in Atlanta with his wife, Faye.

Since joining Southern Company in 2010, Anderson has directed the company’s political, policy and regulatory activities and managed the company’s Washington, D.C. office. Prior to joining Southern Company, Anderson served as vice president of government relations and public affairs for The Coca-Cola Company. Anderson resides with his wife, Katy, and their three children, in Chevy Chase, Maryland.

She is currently the Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Southern Company Gas, which was awarded the Roosevelt Thomas Champion of Diversity Award by the American Association for Access, Equity and Diversity for fostering equal opportunity as well as exhibiting outstanding commitment to diversity. She leads a team of professionals that builds, facilitates, and executes the D&I strategy for a workforce of more than 4,300 employees across the natural gas businesses of the Southern Company. She has responsibility for the evolution of the employee resource group program, which includes 9 groups with 18 chapters in four states. Tommi also leads the development of employee engagement initiatives and strategies to build leadership capabilities to foster an inclusive work environment. Additionally, he provided oversight to the management of one of the largest U.S. investment grade debt portfolios. In this role, Leroy is responsible for developing growth strategies in regulated jurisdictions served by Southern Company Gas utilities. Since joining Southern Company in 2009, Leroy has held roles of increasing responsibility, most recently serving as director of Federal Governmental Affairs in Washington, DC. In this capacity, he worked closely with national elected officials, community leaders and stakeholder groups on issues related to energy and environmental policy. In this role, he sets the strategic direction for the company’s public and media relations, employee and customer communications, brand and creative, as well as digital and social initiatives. Before assuming his current position, Oni served as the director of digital strategy and communications for Alabama Power Company and was responsible for developing innovative solutions to enhance the customer experience through digital transformation. Under his leadership, Alabama Power ranked highest in the J.D. Power 2018 Utility Digital Experience Study. Oni joined Alabama Power Company in 2002 and later held positions of increasing responsibility within the areas of public relations, economic development, external affairs and other community-focused efforts. Oni also serves as CEO and and co-founder of Cloverly, a sustainability-as-a-service API platform that enables e-commerce businesses to improve their sustainability efforts by seamlessly connecting purchasers of carbon credits with high quality, local renewable energy or offsets. David WeaverSouthern Company GasSenior Vice President, External Strategy & Environmental AffairsDavid is responsible on an enterprise-wide basis for the company's rates and regulatory affairs program, state and local government relations, the company’s political action committee, and related duties. The distribution utilities for Southern Company Gas include Atlanta Gas Light, Nicor Gas, Virginia Natural Gas, and Chattanooga Gas. Weaver joined Southern Company Gas in 2008 as director of regulatory affairs for Georgia and Florida. He was elected vice president of regulatory and government affairs in November 2011 after serving as managing director of regulatory affairs, marketer services and planning. In his Georgia regulatory affairs role, Weaver authored several innovative regulatory initiatives to expand real time recovery of key infrastructure construction programs and economic development initiatives including the Georgia SEED tariff, the Georgia STRIDE infrastructure enhancement and economic development program, and Atlanta Gas Light's Compressed Natural Gas Fueling Station program. Weaver attended The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and the Cumberland School of Law, Samford University (Birmingham, Alabama) where he earned a juris doctorate degree in 1985. In this role, Fletcher is responsible for regulatory and state government affairs, community relations and economic development for Atlanta Gas Light, Chattanooga Gas and Virginia Natural Gas. Before assuming his current role, Fletcher served as the vice president of external affairs and corporate services at Gulf Power, responsible for the company’s external endeavors including regulatory affairs, governmental relations, environmental affairs, corporate communications, generation resource planning, as well as the security, facilities and real estate organizations. Previously, he served as Georgia Power’s vice president of governmental and regulatory affairs and was also responsible for managing Georgia Power’s activities with the Georgia Public Service Commission. Fletcher began his career at Georgia Power as a cooperative education student in 1985 and held positions of increasing responsibility, including in customer service and sales. Louise ScottSouthern Company GasVice President, Customer ExperienceAs vice president of customer experience for Southern Company Gas, Louise Scott leads efforts to deliver world-class value to 4.2 million customers in four states served by utilities of Southern Company Gas. In this role, she has responsibility for customer care center operations, billing, payment, credit collections and remittance, Voice of the Customer and supporting customer initiatives. Scott brings more than 30 years of experience to this role. Most recently, Scott served as the vice president of customer services for Southern Company’s Georgia Power subsidiary, where she was responsible for the company’s customer care center in Henry County, smart meters and eBusiness activities that supported 2.5 million customers. Scott joined Southern Company in 1995 and has served in a variety of leadership roles including vice president and regional chief information officer for the company’s Georgia region. She has also served as the Georgia Power manager of region operations in north metro Atlanta, director of customer care center, manager of workforce planning, as well as manager of various power distribution groups. A native of Gloversville, New York, Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Florida and a bachelor’s degree in studio art from the State University of New York. She completed the Emory University Goizueta Business School executive program and the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School executive accounting and finance program.
Jay SuttonSouthern Company GasSenior Vice President & Chief Operating OfficerJay Sutton is senior vice president and chief operating officer for Southern Company Gas. In this role, he is responsible for designing and maintaining the integrity of the company’s infrastructure and standardizing operating procedures. Sutton is a member of the Southern Company Gas Management Council. Southern Company Gas is a subsidiary of Southern Company. An engineer by training, Sutton brings more than 35 years of diverse company experience to his position. Before assuming his current role, Sutton served as senior vice president of operations services. He also served as vice president of engineering services and supply chain services, leading several organizations, including engineering, construction, supply chain management, fleet, occupational health, safety, crisis management and business continuity planning. In addition, he has had responsibility for centralizing and standardizing Southern Company Gas’ pipeline construction program and practices. Through his leadership, new procedures and technologies were implemented, resulting in improved customer service and significant cost reductions. Sutton received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Clemson University and is a registered professional engineer in the state of Georgia. A native of South Carolina, he and his wife live in Atlanta, Georgia.
